Learning Objectives You will be able to: - Identify the differences between a Primary education in a New Zealand public school and an overseas International school. - Compare the difference or the similarities in experiences that you have had in your teaching experience. - Critique statements that have been made about Primary education in a New Zealand public school and an overseas International school.
In New Zealand I taught at a public school where positive e-learning practices were encouraged by administration and staff members. There was a whole school initiative that was supported by both teachers and administration. The school was continually trying to improve their already impressive e-learning resources. The teachers implementing or were attempting to implement e-learning into their teaching practice were not only supported by staff from their own school but there was a support network from other schools. These schools provided an example of collaborative learning as teachers shared successful practices with each other with the goal of not only improving their students’ education but doing it effectively with e-learning.
